Initiatives DRUG REVOLVING FUND for 14 communities in Abia, Akwa Ibom,

Abia State, Kwawa, K-Dere, Kpite, Umuebule, Aminigboko, Obio, Edagberi and
Soku in Rivers State, and Otuasega, Okoroba, Peremabiri and Opolo-Epie in
Bayelsa State.

With effective monitoring and evaluation of
the REVOLVING FUND, the Cottage
Hospitals and Health Centres in these communities are experiencing
appreciable growth. Community Health
Services of SPDC officially wrote to appreciate DPI for what they described
as “Very High Standard work”. The monthly technical reports are the
evidence. The contract was renewed annually.

integration of HIV/AIDS and related services in primary health care in
Nigeria for international and nationwide advocacy.

Project:
Coordinated and implemented in partnership with a local NGO, Association of
Community Development Volunteers (ASCODEV), Sustainable Livelihood Assessment
(SLA), Community Development Plan (CDP) and Tracer Study in six communities
in Twon Brass axis under SPDC H-Block in 2007. This culminated into the
establishment of GMOU in the communities.

Coordinated situational analysis and
Community Development Plan in partnership with local NGOs, using PRA/PLA
model. The NGOs include: ANPEZ (9th
– 27th February 2007), River Ethiope Trust Foundation (2006 –
2007) etc. This culminated into the establishment of GMoU in the communities.
Communities covered include: Kalabilema, Fantuo, Nembe town, Ewelesuo for
ANPEZ; Rumuezeolu, Oginigba, Rumuomasi, Rumuobiokan for River Ethiope. Others
are CEDSI: Oloibiri, Ogbia town and
other communities in Ogbia Local Government Areas.

out Micro-credit Scheme for Women groups in various communities in Isiokpo
Local Government Area in a programme known as “Women Economic Empowerment
Programme.”
